La C-Duu
With an obvious motorcycle silhouette, with sharp lines alternating with holes and round shapes, the work evokes dynamism and movement. Made of matt black steel sheets, laser cut and composed as if following a design in the style of Fortunato Depero, the sculpture goes beyond the evocation of futuristic machinery of the 1920s by reorganizing itself in the same dimensions as the “functioning” and contemporary Italian motorcycle CR&S Duu.
Almost a stylized copy of it, emptied of all functional components, has the rear “drive wheel” slightly raised from the ground by a support element: a real easel that, keeping it in balance, cancels the pedestal at the same time destabilizing its perception.
